4-Year Old Program
The Fours Program is offered Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Students must be 4 on or before December 31st of the given school year.
The program focuses on kindergarten readiness — learning the alphabet (letter of the week), recognizing alphabet sounds and writing letters in upper and lower case. This program also introduces math concepts and numbers, along with storytelling; children will participate in show and tell. Specials classes available to the 4s program include a science class, where students experience science topics in a hands-on manner once per month; a world cultures class focusing on a different country or region each month; a bi-weekly music class is also offered. Students may join their full-day classmates for Lunch Bunch, which is held from 12 to 1 p.m.
The Fours Extended-Day Program is offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students must be 4 on or before December 31st of the given school year.
Children begin their day with the morning session of the Fours Program. In the Extended-Day Program, children bring a lunch, and eat with teachers and classmates. After lunch, their day continues in a small group environment, with more time for letters, numbers and themed activities.
If your child is not ready to experience the full extended-day program, flexible options are available for students to attend a full day one or two days a week.
